Frank Sudol entered the international scene in 1993 with a new technique called piercing. Three years later he pushed for the use of an airbrush, color and texture combined with the piercing. In 1995 he introduced a new version of the deep hollowing bar, changing the nature of turned objects. Since biology was his training background, he emphasized his encounters with nature, its creatures and their importance. He was a champion of exploration, of taking risks, of making a trail where there was no road. In his senior years he dedicated his life and energies to helping “amateur artists” buck the barriers that block creativity.
